Let’s Play Houston is a collaborative initiative led by City of Houston Mayor John Whitmire, Houston Parks Board, and Houston Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with companies, foundations, and private donors, to revitalize 25 neighborhood parks.

PROJECT PROGRESS
The proposed improvements to Haden Park are intended to enhance accessibility, connectivity, and recreational opportunities while creating a welcoming space for park users of all ages and abilities. Park design is preliminary and subject to change.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Community engagement is at the heart of Let’s Play Houston to ensure improvements are responsive to the community’s park needs. Houston Parks Board partnered with local civic organizations and the council district office to gather feedback through a survey and various events in the neighborhood, including a community listening session at Fair Haven Church on July 8, 2025. Planned improvements were informed by the feedback received. Special thanks to all who assisted with this effort.
