Join us for an evening stroll to catch a glimpse of the flora and fauna along Vogel Creek and to learn about the unique slope stabilization methods employed at Basin K.

Basin K is a stormwater detention basin in the Inwood Forest neighborhood and one of the main focus areas of the Inwood Recreation Plan Phase One. Phase one of the plan will create a 1-mile greenway with recreation elements and amenities along Vogel Creek.

In addition to receiving a custom nature guide specific to this area that can be used during the walk and in surrounding greenspaces and neighborhoods, light refreshments will be provided and attendees can try their hand at the HPB prize wheel for some fun freebies.

Let us know you are coming!

While walking is highly encouraged, street parking along Maple Tree Drive is available if needed.

Using public transportation? Take METRO bus 85 on Antoine to Hempstead at Post Oak Rd., walk east on Victory Dr, turn left on Maple Tree Dr just after the Vogel Creek bridge, and the event will be on your left.

Houston Parks Board's community engagement for Vogel Creek is supported by Be Well™ Acres Homes. Be Well Acres Homes is an initiative of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
