“Here is the most ambitious effort in the entire country. 150 miles of urban green space lacing the whole region, completely redefining the way the region is used and the way we think about it.” —Bill Fulton, Director of The Kinder Institute of Urban Research
Bayou Greenways 2020 is an audacious initiative being implemented by Houston Parks Board to build a 150-mile network of trails and parks along Houston's bayous, connecting Houstonians to each other like never before. Together, we can turn this critical moment into real impact for our communities.
In only eight years, over $212 million has already been committed to the project—and we're almost to our goal of $220 million. Please join us in our effort. Through Bayou Greenways 2020, our bayous will become a network of pathways that make our lives happier, healthier, and more connected.
