River Oaks Park (“Pumpkin Park”) was established in 1938 on 5 acres set aside for public use during the development of the River Oaks Subdivision.

Playground Renovation: We are excited to celebrate the recent renovation of the children's playground by the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. The grand reopening ceremony is scheduled for March 7, 4:00 - 5:00 pm.

Endowment Campaign: Friends of River Oaks Park, a group of volunteers dedicated to improving their neighborhood park, has joined forces with the Houston Parks Board to raise funds that will go toward future renovations, including updating the historic community center. Funds donated to the Houston Parks Board through the options below will go toward further park improvements.
