Hunting Bayou Greenway
Hunting Bayou begins in northeast Houston and meanders east until it reaches Buffalo Bayou at the Houston Ship Channel. Along its journey, Hunting Bayou passes a diverse range of communities and neighborhood parks, including Hutcheson Park and Hermann Brown Park.
Through Bayou Greenways 2020, Houston Parks Board and its project partners are transforming Hunting Bayou into Hunting Bayou Greenway. Complete with open greenspace and hike-and-bike trails, Hunting Bayou Greenway will connect communities to parks, greenspace and neighborhood resources – and each other. There's plenty to do and see along the way. Discover super places along Hunting Bayou Greenway here.

Cavalcade to Lockwood
A greenway project is in the works for the Kashmere Gardens neighborhood along Hunting Bayou between Cavalcade and Lockwood. Construction began on the segment between Falls St. and Lockwood, but was temporarily paused for revised permitting. Construction is expected to resume fall 2017.
We are working through final design approvals for the segment from Cavalcade to Falls St, which will include replacing the existing asphalt trail and replacing it with a new 10-foot concrete trail. Construction is expected to begin fall 2017.
