Houston Amateur Sports Park

Houston Sports Park, 12131 Kirby Drive, 77045

Phase One of the Houston Sports Park (HSP) was completed in 2011 and is now open to the public. For information on field rental, scheduling and events, please visit: http://www.houstondynamo.com/content/houston-sports-park for map and directions visit: maps

HSP has been very successful since the completion of Phase One. It is the permanent training home of the Houston Dynamo, and fields have been utilized by the El Salvador and Honduras national soccer teams and visiting international teams. The 2012 usage report shows over 5,600 hours of use, including 500 free hours. This includes over 80 different sports groups representing soccer, lacrosse, football, ultimate Frisbee, field hockey, kickball, flag football, and others. HSP has also hosted many key events and tournaments for soccer, rugby and lacrosse.

Phase One provides 7 lighted fields (1 championship soccer/multi-sport field, 1 artificial turf field and 5 grass multi-sport fields), a water playground and a medical sports building with restrooms and concessions.

Although Phase One has been very successful, the need is still great - Houston needs at least 160 more soccer/multi-sport fields. Fundraising for Phase Two is underway which will provide 9 more lighted fields, restroom pavilion, misting stations, picnic facilities, trails, playground and additional parking. The estimated cost to complete the complex is $12 million.
