Wildflower Plantings along the Bayou Greenways

Volunteer Opportunities Available

For the third year in a row, we’re teaming up with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department for their 10th Annual Lady Bird Johnson Tribute Wildflower Planting! This year, we're planting hundreds of acres of wildflowers along the Bayou Greenways, and we could use some helping hands. Volunteers are needed on two Saturdays in November to spread seeds along the Bayou Greenways, which will bloom into colorful blankets of wildflowers in the spring.

This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity that even children can participate in, so bring the whole family out to beautify our bayous!

Volunteer assignments begin at 9 a.m. at various locations and typically will not take more than 1.5 hours to complete planting area. To sign up for a site along the Bayou Greenways, send us an email with your first and second location preference from the list of sites below.
